Ignacio Ponseti, MD, a giant in the foot and ankle field, died on October 18 at the age of 95. He was a University of Iowa professor emeritus of orthopedics and developer of the Ponseti Method for the treatment of clubfoot in children and the namesake for the Ponseti Clubfoot Center at the University of Iowa. Dr. Freddie Fu recently met with Dr. Ponseti when he presented at the Michael Bonfiglio MD Visiting Professor at the University of Iowa. |
