Dr Fu was invited to give the 19th Annual Fischer Owen Lecture at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky October 2. He was welcomed by his former Sports Medicine Fellow David Caborn, MD ('90-'91), who is a clinical professor at the University of Louisville. Drs. Fu and Caborn were joined by legendary jockey Patrick Day, Hall-of-Famer, who has ridden winners of U.S. Triple Crown races nine times and one time winner of the Kentucky Derby, for a luncheon at the famous Churchill Downs Racetrack, one of the largest racetracks in Kentucky. Dr Fu’s talk “Anatomic ACL Reconstruction: What I have learned” was given during Orthopaedic Grand Rounds at the Leatherman Spine Conference Center. In addition, Dr Fu lectured to Greater Louisville community orthopaedic surgeons on “50 Years of Cartilage Research in Pittsburgh” during an evening session. Dr Fu was then escorted to the Pitt vs. University of Louisville men’s football game. |
