September 17th through 19th, Dr. Fu was the Michael Bonfiglio MD Visiting Professor at the University of Iowa and a guest speaker for the Iowa Orthopaedic Alumni Association. Dr. Fu’s topic of discussion was, “Where are we in 2009—the Anatomy of the ACL and Double Bundle Reconstruction.” He also participated in a live cadaveric demonstration of the double bundle ACL reconstruction.Also in attendance was Dr. Ignacio Ponseti, who is the namesake for the Ponseti Clubfoot Center at the University of Iowa. At nearly 95 years of age, Dr. Ponseti is in good health, very active, and continues to have a very active clinical practice at the Center. His colleagues at the Center have been trained by Dr. Ponseti and have worked side by side with him for the last 40 years. |
