W. P. Andrew Lee, MD was named Vice-President of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand [ASSH]. Founded in 1946, the ASSH is the oldest medical specialty society in the United States. It is considered to be the premier hand surgery organization in the world with over 3,000 members. Dr. Lee will become its 67th President in 2011, and will be the first plastic surgeon in 13 years to assume the position. Dr. Lee is Professor of Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery, and Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery. He is also a member of the Hand Transplant Team and our Hand Fellowship Program. |
