On September 14, 2009, Dr. Rocky Tuan made a presentation for Dean Levine's Meeting of Clinical and Basic Science Chairs of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. The Council meeting was led by Dr. Arthur Levine, Dean of the School of Medicine and is comprised of the Chairman of the University’s clinical departments. Dr. Tuan, the founding Director of the Center for Cellular and Molecular Engineering within the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, discussed his new role at the University and presented an overview of the mission of the Center, which is to apply the principles of cellular and molecular science and engineering to restore tissue and organ functions. Dr. Tuan will also serve as the Executive Vice Chairman for Orthopaedic Research. |
