The University of Pittsburgh Medical School held the White Coat Ceremony on Sunday, August 9. The ceremony is held each year for the incoming medical students and they get a white lab coat from the Alumni Association, after which they take the Hippocratic Oath. Dr. Brian Klatt, Class of 1997 was one of two physicians in the Coating Ceremony. Dr. Susan Dunmire, Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Executive Director of the Medical Alumni Association, gave the Keynote Speech. The content of the speech was reprinted in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on August 12, and is attached along with a copy of the program. |
