The Department of Orthopaedics at UPMC retained its Top 10 Ranking in U.S. News & World Report's ranking of specialties for a second year in a row. UPMC has advanced to a ranking of number 13 in the country, up from number 14 in 2008. Only 174 hospitals of the more than 4,800 eligible hospitals nationally were ranked in any specialty area. UPMC was nationally ranked in 13 of 16 specialty areas, and 7 specialties were ranked in the top 10. UPMC Department of Orthopaedics was ranked 10th in the country in this year's report.
The rankings will appear in U.S. News & World Report on-line edition, along with the results for America’s Best Children’s Hospitals. The print issue arrives at newsstands on July 21st. |
