Dr. Brian Klatt was recently appointed to the Institutional Review Board [IRB]. The IRB is an important service to the University of Pittsburgh. Responsibilities include attending monthly IRB committee meetings, during which he is responsible for reviewing studies involving human subjects to ensure safety and protection of human subjects that participate in research. There are several other individuals in the Department that serve on the IRB - these include James Irrgang, PhD, Richard McGough, MD, Burhan Gharaibeh, PhD and Kim Francis. |
